HYL Architecture is always looking for dynamic, highly creative and collaborative individuals  to join our team in Washington D.C.   We practice a holistic approach to architecture and are looking for team members with skills in conceptual design, management, client relations, construction documents, consultant coordination, and construction administration.  Applicants who are highly experienced will be expected to mentor and foster younger staff.  Younger candidates will be provided with hands on training by senior staff on projects which will allow them to build skill sets beyond their peers with similar years of experience.

Job Posting | Experience 0-3 Years Entry Level Architect/ Interior Designer (0-3 yrs. exp.) Washington, DC Non-Exempt, Full Time, Travel may be required, Overtime may be required HYL seeks an Architect / Interior Designer to join its growing Commercial Interiors Workplace Practice located in Washington, D.C. Successful candidates will have strong portfolios, excellent verbal and graphic communication skills, an ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members, and an enthusiasm for design excellence and learning. Position Overview: Performs work on basic defined segments of a project under supervision. Partial List of Responsibilities includes: • Contributes to the general preparation of design and construction deliverables from programming and design presentations through construction administration. • Prepares client presentation materials, including 3-dimensional Revit modeling, rendering and Photoshop illustrations, and design package preparation in InDesign. • Contributes to the selection of furniture, conducts furniture and materials research, and participates in the development of specification packages. • Assists project manager in the documentation of meetings and client decisions. • Generally participates as a supporting team member working with senior staff and partners with a collaborative ‘can do’ attitude. • Actively supports office policies, standards, procedures, and BIM/computer data use policies. • Works with utmost confidentiality on client projects, protecting client and firm proprietary information and methodology. • Demonstrates an ongoing and consistent ability to work within the HYL team culture.
