The design of Bates White’s office translates their business strategy to architecture, integrating a warm, textural palette with precision-like detailing to blend their collegial work environment with meticulous service they offer clients.
To compete within their industry, Bates White felt that it was important to provide individual offices for all staff. To mitigate this density, glass office fronts, enlarged corridor widths, inclusion of activated public spaces, and thoughtful lighting elements were incorporated. Employees are encouraged to use these public spaces, which include a robust working café – with pool table, bar height seating, and multiple dining options – library and enclosed lounge-like meeting rooms, to further interaction. Keeping employee satisfaction at their forefront, adjustable worksurfaces for all staff, ergonomic seating, and a private locker room were included in the program.
